PROPERTY PERSONNEL CELEBRATES 27TH ANNIVERSARY
Here at Property Personnel, we’re celebrating our 27th anniversary. The party poppers are out, as are the balloons and cake. We’re taking some time to reflect on everything we’ve achieved in those 27 years, and how much the job market has changed.
Since 1988, we’ve lived through no less than three recessions and worked with more than 5,000 different clients. As a result, we’ve successfully placed more than 10,000 candidates in jobs with basic salaries totalling well over £100 million.
Not only is Property Personnel looking better than ever, the job market is too. Over the past 27 years, overall employment rates have risen from 70 per cent to 73 per cent. It may seem like a small increase, but it’s huge considering how many trials and tribulations our labour market has experienced.
However, we think the most notable change between 1988 and 2015 is the ever-closing gap between male and female employment. Back in 1988, only 60 per cent of women and 80 per cent of men were in work. Now, 68 per cent of women and 78 per cent of men are employed in the UK, and we aim to boost that figure even further.
So we raise a glass to the past 27 years. Here is to 27 more – even if it means fighting through another three recessions. Cheers!
