Jobs in Block Management
A Block Management position usually involves the managing of a residential property or properties, including collecting service charges, ground rent and the supervision and implementation of maintenance on the premises. It can also comprise the preparation of budgets and annual accounts for the properties and the collection of other payments (such as insurance).
A block management maintenance contract might include the arrangement of internal and external cleaning, emergency services such as electricians or plumbers, annual and to-order painting and decorating, gardening services and tree care. The amount and extent of contract work will always be tailored to each individual lease agreement.
Successful block managers will have a good eye for detail, be competent at putting together budgets, able to manage others well and can oversee the delivery of contracted services to a high level.
