The Recruitment Process
Many of our clients, especially those using us for the first time, are unsure of exactly how we work and what the recruitment process is. This page should give you a better understanding of what is involved.
Initial enquiry
Very much like your business, it is normally initiated by a client wanting to know what we can do to help and how much it will cost!
Client meeting
During this meeting, we explain exactly how we work and how much it will cost to find the right individual.
Full details of the vacancy
Once we have a thorough understanding of our client’s needs and have agreed terms of business, we will start our search for the ideal candidate.
Arranging interviews
One of the reasons clients come back to us time and time again is that we are not ‘mudslingers’ at Property Personnel. We will only introduce candidates who we genuinely believe are suitable for the vacancy, and we certainly do not inundate clients with unsolicited emails pushing unqualified candidates.
We will ring our clients to discuss a potential candidate’s suitability and only once a client has agreed to interview one of our candidates will we arrange a time and a place to suit both parties. It is also worth noting that we never ring a client to discuss a candidate without that candidate’s prior permission.
Once we have agreed an interview with both parties we will follow it up with confirmation by phone or email. We have discovered over the years that this dramatically increases the likelihood of the candidate turning up, and the interview actually taking place at the right time, and at the right place!
Interview feedback
A major benefit of using us is that both our clients and candidates will get honest feedback following an interview, and always within 24 hours of the interview having taken place.
Offer/Rejection/Negotiation
As in estate agency, having a 3rd party for both clients and candidates to talk to can facilitate the negotiation process, and for obvious reasons many of our clients prefer using us to pass on bad news. Telling potential candidates that they have been unsuccessful is never a nice job!
