Job Description

work with us

Why join us?

Property Personnel is a market leader in the field of estate agency recruitment covering London, the Home Counties, and beyond. Established in 1988, the company is the longest running specialist agency, and our team is the most experienced in this sector. Every one of our employees has started with no prior recruitment experience and they have grown their careers to become senior consultants, associates and directors.

We are actively looking for people with or without previous recruitment experience. We believe hiring those with a desire to work hard who have some transferable skills is more important than previous experience in this field.

You will be in a unique position of managing our clients’ requirements rather than going out to win more! If your skills lie in giving the customer an exceptional service, we would like to talk to you!

What does it take to be a great Recruiter?

Strong administration and IT skills are a must. The job will be demanding at times, so the ability to think on your feet and organise your time effectively is essential.

Recruitment is ultimately a sales role, so you need to be able to display great communication skills, and that you’re motivated to work hard.

This is a Monday to Friday role, but you may occasionally be required to speak with candidates, especially those in full-time employment, outside of working hours.

It’s not for the faint hearted but it most certainly is rewarding, exciting, challenging, fast-paced, and great fun!

What will you be doing upon joining us?

You will learn the full 360 sales process, starting with candidates first and then moving on to client work when you’re ready. As a Recruitment Consultant you will be responsible for identifying and sourcing candidates to find the best talent for our clients.

You will register and interview candidates to assess their requirements and abilities; this could be face to face, over the phone or via Microsoft Teams. You will arrange interviews for candidates with clients, as well as advising them on job descriptions & remuneration. You will provide continual support to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process, whilst at the same time updating our internal CRM/database and carrying out general administration.

So, what are we looking for in a Recruitment Consultant? Basically, someone who is:
  • Confident with an outgoing personality
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment where they will relish the opportunity to increase their earnings through endeavour and achievement
  • Resilient and tenacious, with the drive and ambition to succeed
  • Competitive by nature (those with a sporting background invariably do well)
  • Able to connect with people and build solid interpersonal relationships
  • A collaborative team player with an excellent work ethic
  • Able to protect confidential information and display the utmost discretion at all times
  • A superb administrator
  • Self-sufficient, requiring minimal supervision
  • Full UK driving licence and your own car – essential
  • A dog lover! Meet Tilly, Pablo, Dudley & Zola:

What can you look forward to?
  • Great earning potential with commission structure up to 20%
  • Remote working after initial training
  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Monthly well-being meeting
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm – No weekends
  • 20 days holiday rising to 25 over 5 years, plus all Bank Holidays. In addition, we always close between Christmas and the New Year
  • Additional day off for your birthday!
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided.

The salary on offer will include a basic plus on target earnings in the region of £35,000 to £45,000 depending on performance. There is no cap on commission, the sky is the limit, so there is the potential to earn considerably more.
