Our client is undoubtedly a market-leader in the area, and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. In this role, you will oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. The role involves maintaining financial integrity, advising directors on taxation and cashflow, and guiding the business with sound financial and operational practices.
To be considered, you should possess a solid understanding of payroll, digital taxation (MTD), HR and compliance, credit control, and general business management, alongside strong IT, and back-office systems knowledge. If this sounds like you, please get in touch today!
Skills and attributes:
- Payroll & HR Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and HR compliance.
- MTD & Taxation Expertise: Strong working knowledge of digital tax systems and regulations affecting companies and directors.
- Credit Control Acumen: Understanding of credit management processes and cashflow principles.
- Financial & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and employment legislation.
- IT & Systems Proficiency: Strong knowledge of financial software, back-office systems, and general IT tools.
- Strategic & Commercial Awareness: Ability to apply practical business acumen and advise directors on financial and operational strategy.
- Leadership: Effective team management and collaboration skills to drive departmental performance.
The salary on offer is £30,000 based on a 3 day week (Tuesday to Thursday).
