Job Description

An exciting and challenging vacancy has arisen to join this upmarket, privately-owned estate agency with a small network of offices in central London. Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Tenancy Manager to join the team on a part-time basis.

This role will involve dealing with all the pre-tenancy, renewals, and compliance processes, as well as working closely with the property management team.

To be considered for this position you will have superb organisational and customer service skills, the ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in lettings but values flexibility, with this being a part-time remote role.

The role will include the following:
  • Processing tenancy expiry emails/letters
  • Negotiating renewal terms and rent increases
  • Serving statutory notices (Section 21 and Notices to Quit)
  • Generating all relevant documentation to both landlord and tenant in respect of the renewal process of each tenancy and ensuring all internal systems are updated
  • Drafting all renewal contracts/addendums and ensuring all signed contracts are filed within due dates
  • Updating renewal pipelines with fees and renewing the tenancy on MRI
  • Ensuring valid compliance certificates are in place for each tenancy
  • Ordering compliance certificates for non-managed tenancies as appropriate
  • Informing all relevant team members where notices are served
  • Forwarding inventory check-out reports for non-managed tenancies to both tenants and landlords
  • As stakeholders acting as mailbox between landlord and tenant in respect of claim made by landlords against tenants’ deposits
  • Advising accounts department once claim is settled so that monies can be distributed
  • Ensuring deposits are unregistered with TDS once funds released
  • Handling complaints and queries in an appropriate manner
  • Drawing up memorandums when a variation of tenancy terms is agreed between tenant and landlord
  • Dealing with change of sharers’ references, paperwork, Right-to-Rent and deposit certificate.
Personal specification:
  • Experience within a tenancy management role in London
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management and lettings legislation
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Enthusiastic and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.

The salary package for this role will be c. £21,000 based on a 3 day working week.

This is a remote position.
