MEET THE TEAM – MADDIE
Here at Property Personnel we’re firm believers that the secret to our success is down to our fantastic team. We sat down with Maddie, our Office Manager, to ask her some questions about her role here at Property Personnel.
Name: Maddie Grange
What do you do? I’m the Office Manager at Property Personnel.
How long have you worked at Property Personnel? Since January 2017.
What challenges do you face on a daily basis? The biggest challenge for me is finding good candidates. Many candidates also seem to be avoiding negotiator roles because of the long hours and having to work weekends- Instead they are looking for something a little different within the industry which offers more of a work/life balance.
What is the ideal candidate like? A good candidate is one who answers the phone and calls back promptly. I also like a candidate who knows what they are looking for, one who trusts their recruitment consultant and is truthful!
What’s your favourite thing about your job? I really enjoy the variety that the job offers, no two days are the same! Working with such a fantastic team makes all the difference.
How do you unwind after work? After work I like to unwind by cooking and watching a good TV show.
What makes a good client? I really like it when clients want to talk to you and build a relationship. Speed is also a huge factor, especially in the current market.
What’s the weirdest job that a candidate has come from? Probably a ‘Pizza Artist’!
What makes a CV stand out for you? I love it when a candidate’s CV shows dedication to the property industry. Also, well-structured CVs always stand out.
What makes a CV go in the bin? The main reason I’d dismiss a CV would be if the candidate has job-hopped and worked in multiple industries. It shows lack of focus and worries us recruitment consultants!
If you could give one piece of advice to a candidate what would it be? Be truthful with your recruitment consultant and keep them in the loop.
If you would like to have a chat with Maddie, or any other member of our team about how we may be able to help you, please feel free to get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
